Dear Chickens,
Greetings to you all.
We have come to that time of the year when we are tried and persecuted on all sides. That time of the year when Humans celebrate Christmas. Some of us shall be fried, others roasted, some boiled, and many others grilled. This has gone on for years. We have suffered and still suffering. As chickens led to the slaughter we are killed all day long. You never hear them do same to the Lions and tigers. That’s why you can never hear of Lion or Tiger pepper soup. Even though other brethren like the goats, Fishes and Turkeys are also targets. Our population, notwithstanding, still remains the most afflicted. Because we are weak and small. I have wondered if it’s a crime to be a Chicken🐓 . If we had wings like the Eagles 🦅 , shebi we’d just fly away. But we don’t.
So I urge you all fellow comrades, to be watchful, vigilant and prayerful this season. Don’t stay out late at night. Warn your chicks🐥 to avoid straying and walking alone . Avoid crowded human areas, especially major markets. But having said this, many of us are destined to go. And this fate we must sadly come to accept. So for those who shall end up in various pots, pans and bellies this season, we say FAREWELL. We shall meet again, to depart no more.
And to the humans who won’t let us be, we say MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR. May God have mercy on your all.
